In 1962, Duhart-Milon was a mess. Luckily, the Rothschild family saw an opportunity to revitalize the estate and bought up the property, cleared the land, replanted and renovated the estate. Using the same vines, technology, and skill that has brought their other properties to such prominence, Duhart Milon was quickly revived and regained the quality that had won it the honor of fourth growth status in the 1855 classification. By 1970, Duhart-Milon was back on track and was producing excellent age-worthy wines. When well cellared, as this bottle was, a quick decanting and a hour of patience is enough to unlock this time capsule from the 1970 vintage.
