Bricky red but still red and bright. Deeper than the Vray Croix de Gay. Quite meaty, but also fresh and lightly spiced. Meatiness blows away to a certain extent to reveal; something more fragrant. Pretty dry and a bit flat on the palate – not as good as the nose promised - but still a polite older lady. With time in glass, more intense fruit sweetness and much less meat though the savoury flavours persist on the palate. (JH) 16.5/20
