Excellent depth of colour, but already a brick rim. Restrained nose, but with some potential underneath. Correct. Gentle, round and supple Pauillac. Good purity and flavour definition. Lovely now. 17.5/20 Points (JR) (17.5/20)
Medium red. Spicy red berries, eucalyptus and camphor on the nose, plus a whiff of old barrel. Then supple and fat, with modest nuance but more ripeness and sweetness than the nose suggests. Finishes with nicely ripe tannins and good persistence. (ST)
Now called Château d'Armailhac, this is a firm Bordeaux, with berry and cherry aromas and flavors, solid tannins and a medium finish. (JS)
