Medium-weight, with pretty, spicy cherry and tart raspberry, hints of nutmeg and tea. Sharply focused, turning elegant and polished, getting a lift from toasty oak on the finish.
Deep red. Mellow aromas of blackberry, plum, cinnamon, underbrush, and earth...fat and rich on the palate, though today the oak is more apparent than the wine's fruit. Finishes with dusty (oak-enhanced) tannins and very good length. (ST)
